Mark and I have been practicing for our wedding day since 2011 — and I am so ready to be married to my best friend. All the wedding photography and photobooths we did together leads us up to the very moment when we’ll be able to celebrate our love with our closest family and friends. As of right this very second, we have FOUR (and a half) FULL DAYS LEFT.

Welcome to the RACHEYandMARK Wedding Details Blog Series — an almost-daily compilation of blogs that will lead up to our wedding day! Whenever I get the chance, from now until our wedding day, I’ll be writing about a wedding detail and talking about the significance behind it. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy sharing 💙 Click here for more blogs about our wedding journey!
Our First Photoshoot Together
You would expect that our first “real” photoshoot together would happen earlier in our relationship because Mark and I are both photographers, but think otherwise because we didn’t have our first photoshoot until three years after we started dating.
My Uncle Edzel — of Edzel Fuertez Photography and Fun Foto Studioz Photobooth — did our first real couple photoshoot. It’s crazy to look back now and know that it was a mock/test wedding photoshoot for one of our clients.
Are you ready for a trip down memory lane… commence photoreel
A Trip Down Memory Lane
It’s a different experience being in front of the camera vs. being behind it.
Me: excited but nervous to finally do a photoshoot with Mark
Me: pretending to walk down an aisle to my pretend groom
Us: pretending to say “I Do” and put a pretend ring on each other
Note to Self: Don’t make this face… lol
Us: preparing to jump for joy because we pretend got married
Us: Weeee! We’re (pretend) Married!
Us: Let’s go to our pretend honeymoon!

Romantic ka 😍
Oh whaaaaat! This looks like our engagement photos!
Us: pretend walking into reception for the first time as Mr. & Mrs.
The famous photo I use for everything when I mention Mark (lol)
And last but not least, our little two-year-old Nicholas! People used to mistaken me and Mark for his parents, but no, he’s my baby brother.
That was fun, I’m glad we did this — and I’m happy you got to the end of my nostalgic photoreel.
Finally, the “Real” Thing
I’m over the moon that in four days time, we will no longer be doing the pretend thing. After witnessing so many weddings as a flower girl, a junior bridesmaid, photographer, photobooth person, and wedding guest… an overwhelming amount of happiness fills me up knowing it’s my turn to be the bride with her groom by her side. Everyone keeps asking me how I feel now that the wedding is coming up quickly. They assume I’m stressed out, or that I have a lot to do. However, I’m far from stressed or in possession of a super long to-do list. I’m feeling at peace, in love, and happy. Truly happy.
your very excited bride-to-be,
